Talent Showcase #3

Welcome to the third installment of our Talent Showcase!

We know how important it is to be supported and recognized as an artist and are excited to highlight some of the great creative talent on Talenthouse.

Without further ado, here are some of the incredible artists on Talenthouse – involved in music, photography, fashion, art, and film:

MUSIC

Kay.K.BayZ (Australia) is a drummer, singer, songwriter, and record producer. At the age of 3 he was belting it out on the drum kit and singing along to tunes with his dad’s band at age 7. He went on to play keyboard, developed an interest in songwriting, and played the guitar by age 16. Today, his energy is targeted at writing and producing songs eight with band, 6hr Sundae, or as a solo artist.

Amy Serrata (California) creates music intended to heal and bring people together. Amy’s interest in singing arose at an early age listening to the sounds of Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles, and Louis Armstrong to name a few. In 2006, Amy started singing with the Stanford University Gospel Choir. Her current album is a mix of soul, nu jazz, and hip hop.

Zuzuwah Refuat (Milan, Italy) is a dub, nu jazz musician who was born and raised in Brazil. He picked up the electric guitar at 15 influenced by funk, jazz, and trash metal. He has released four albums from his latest solo project, Coletivo Shanghai. He’s currently working as a marketing manager while still playing music.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Scott Thelen (Wisconsin) is a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a Bachelors of Art in Art. Scott has recently dived into digital photography and shoots panoramic photos as well. Scott’s greatest influence is a colleague who always advised every artist to “Be Fearless.”

Christian Gehrig (Switzerland) is a photographer who can normally be seen spotting at night because that is when he feels most free. He prefers long exposure pictures, flashing light effects, architecture and landscapes.

Jose Soto (Spain) studied at the Escuela de Artes Plasticas where he obtained a B.A. in Image and Design. From 1997-2000 he worked as a photography assistant in John Betancourt’s studio. In 2004, he founded Eclipse Multimedia which offers photographic and graphic design services. Since 1998 his art work has been exhibited in seven group exhibitions and he’s won multiple awards.

FASHION

Atomic Child AKA Jimmy Bryant (Oakland, CA) has been drawing on everything since he was a little child and decided that college would be his chance to get away from the small farm he grew up on. After graduating, he worked on some editorial illustrations for newspapers and magazines before discovering T-shirt design. He works on designs for websites and bands.

Esther Chung (Ohio) is a fashion designer who creates high end, ready to wear, garments with a Haute Couture feel that are comfortable. Everything she creates is from scratch and she does her own fabric dying as well. Esther graduated with a BFA, focus in fashion, from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She won the styles Scotland Fashion Design competition in 2003 and has interned with Gary Graham of Tribeca NYC.

Yvette Craddock (Arizona) is the Founder and Style Director of Style Folio and stylefoliojewelry.com. The site is devoted to bold, modern and luxurious jewelry. Yvette has been a TV and fashion journalist, stylist and corporate image presenter. She has appeared on affiliates from all major networks and has interviewed fashion legends such as Oscar de la Renta and Diane Von Furstenberg.

Jon Hoeveler (California) is a recent graduate from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles with a degree in Graphic Design. He has a huge passion for art and a big interest in T-shirt design. He has created characters called Goons and showcases them on a variety of media and apparel. He is a participant in the Talenthouse Create a T-shirt Design Invite.

Anne-Marie Bulpitt (United Kingdom) is an illustrator who owns her own freelance illustration service creating vibrant fashion and lifestyle images for publishing, advertising, fashion bags, t-shirts, design, websites and promotional materials. She set up this business after graduating from The Arts Institute at Bournemouth with a BA in Illustration.

Gonzalo Torné (Spain) is, in his own words, a painter who paints; not a computer artist whose public career began in 1970. He develops his work using the experiences from the past to present. He believes that painting, as such, has an enormous area in which to develop. But what is it exactly that Gonzalo Torné does now? He uses digital technology to paint which he states, “reaffirms his artistic talent.”

FILM

Doogie Horner (Philadelphia, PA) is a stand-up comedian and comedy writer. He is the author of the First Timer’s Kit, Dirty Jokes Every Man Should Know, and the forthcoming Everything Explained Through Flowcharts (Harper Collins, 2010). His comedy has been featured on Boing Boing, the Comic’s Comic, and the NY comedy magazine, The Comedians.

DoogieHorner
Ken Karner (Austria) is a multimedia designer and Art Director specializing in Graphic Design, Illustration, Animation, Web Design, Corporate Design and Advertisment Design. He was sketching cartoons of his classmates in high school and writing graffiti on the walls of Vienna growing up. At the age of 21 he established himself as a freelance designer and illustrator. He founded “ICHBAN” with his brother and worked for clients such as Nike, Redbull, and Coca-Cola. After a few years he left to continue his own personal creative journey and is still searching for the right place, embracing all of the challenges that come his way.

KenKarner
Josh Sneed (Ohio) is quickly making his mark as one of the top young comics in the business. After quitting a comfy day job working for Procter & Gamble, he’s made excellent strides in following his passion for making people laugh working with such acts as Dave Chappelle and Dane Cook. In 2008, Josh finished 2nd out of 100 of Comedy Central’s top comedians in the annual “Stand-up Showdown”, earning him a deal to record a new album on Comedy Central Records.

I was looking in Yahoo for Accounting software that I had already purchased when I found your site, I must say your page is pretty informative, I just love the theme, its amazing!.     Guten Tag ein echt gutes Blog, verdienst du Einnahmen damit ? Ich selbst hab bei meiner Seite lange nach Verdienstmöglichkeiten gesucht aber gar nichts gefunden. vor kurzem bin ich auf Backlinkseller gestoßen, damit mache ich schon fast 56 € im Monat. Hast du zufällig eine noch bessere Alternative für mich ? Währe echt nett.
