Ninette and her team reached out to our artist community, asking them to submit their artwork or photos revolving around the idea of bringing back the sexiness of safe sex. The winning pieces are to be used in future DAA campaigns and there were 4 winners chosen!

Nick Lovell is a Los Angeles based photographer who entered this competition with a clear vision: “When I heard that DAA was having a contest with the goal of making safe sex sexy, I jumped at the opportunity. Several years ago, someone surprised me by saying “no one dies of AIDS anymore.”

Rayner Seah is a graduate student in Marketing & Communications and lives in Singapore. To raise HIV/AIDS awareness he created this strong collage of notable artists who had two things in common: AIDS & talent.

Saima Altunkaya is an artist who studied and worked in Hamburg as a photographer assistant before moving to Paris where she found what she was looking for in photography — beauty and portraits.

Ashley Tolusic is an artist and graphic designer who was interested in art from a very young age. She aspires to travel and be inspired while taking the world by storm with her creativity.

We are very honored to be a part of such an important cause and proud of all of the artists who took the time to create some beautiful and powerful artwork. Originally from Russia, Khrystyna has only been modeling for one year.  She is represented by Look Agency in San Francisco and says it has been one of the best years of her life.

Caitlin has been modeling full-time for the last four years with hopes to one day model for Victoria’s Secret.  She also enjoys photography and has a big appreciation for music.

Khrystyna and Caitlin will be a part of the brand’s global promotional advertising campaign and will be participating in an online makeup video, as well as being featured at the wet n wild Beauty Editor Launch Event in NYC; where there will be over 70 of today’s leading beauty editors.

The submissions over exceeded all our expectations, the talent out there is outstanding and we were blown away by what we saw and heard. It made it once again so obvious why we had to create Talenthouse, to provide all these young musicians and producers a stage to be seen, to collaborate and to open new opportunities.

Ryan and his team went through all submissions and had to pick one winner in the end who will work with Ryan in the studio producing a major recording artist and to receive assistant credits on the release.

And the winner is – Blair Taylor from New Orleans and the making of “Cross The Border” (w/ VScript).

As all the submissions are so amazing we are working on a way how to provide further opportunities and mentorship to the runner-ups and are planning an online video conference with Ryan Leslie to ask questions about the industry and get feedback on their work. We will keep you posted about further details and dates.

After the Talenthouse community voted, American Fangs named Teguh Anggara as the winner!

Teguh is a talented artist and photographer from Indonesia. Born in North Sumatera and living in West Java, Teguh works as a creative director, freelance designer and photographer.

A couple of months ago, we invited any and all hair stylists from our creative community to participated in the Jeanie Syfu Creative Invite. Jeanie Syfu, celebrity hair stylist, was searching for a creative professional with styling and business experience to assist her, attend sets and fashion shows with her and help her run her business.

After the Talenthouse Community voted for their favorite hair stylists, Talenthouse and Jeanie Syfu are please to announce Guslene Augustine as the winner!

Guslene has worked as a freelance hair stylistfor over 7 years. She is currently based in New York and travels all over the city for her clients. As the winner of this Creative Invite, Guslene will have the once in a lifetime opportunity work alongside and learn from one of the best in the industry.

We recently teamed up with the horror experts at FEWDIO and script writer community Scripped.com to give aspiring writers the opportunity to scare the hell out of the horror film community.

“We were very excited to work with Talenthouse because FEWDIO was founded as a collaborative endeavor. Talenthouse has given us a great opportunity to connect with other like-minded artists on a much larger scale, in a more global community. We have really enjoyed meeting people who appreciate what we do, many of whom are incredibly talented artists themselves and as a result, we have become mutual fans.”

With well over 300 submissions making it into the semi-finals, both Talenthouse and FEWDIO were impressed by the quality of scripts entered in the contest and we are all pleased to announce Ashley Maniw from Toronto as the winner!

“There were a number of criteria that we kept in mind while reading:  the budget / challenge of production, whether the tone fits our ‘Nightmare House’ anthology series, and – of course – the quality of the storytelling. Ashley’s ‘Firsts’ scored high across the board.”

Ashley has been writing and telling stories since her childhood and recently graduated from York University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Creative Writing, with a focus on screenwriting.

“I heard about the contest through an email I got from Scripped.com. Since I was already working on a couple of shorts at the time, I thought it’d be a great opportunity and a motivator for me to write something new. When I found out that I won, I was very grateful and really, really excited. “

The FEWDIO team, a partnership between 6 writers, directors, producers, actors, and executives (Marshall Carr, John Crye, Paul Hungerford, David Schneider, Todd A. Sharp, and Kirk B.R. Woller), will work directly with Ashley to put her winning script into production in the next couple of weeks and probably debut the short at an upcoming film festival.

Votes have been counted for the goggle design Creative Invite and adidas had the challenge of choosing a winner from the top 10 design finalists.

After much consideration, adidas has named John Filipe (Portugal) as the winner of the Creative Invite!

John had the following to say about his winning design:

This design is basically a dynamic adaptation of the British flag on the googles having in mind the keywords : speed, fire, and ice melting. The British theme in the design is subliminal. My intention was not to make it that obvious, but If you consider those as a representation of the British flag, then you can easily spot the British flag on the googles. But if you are not aware of the British relationship , they can still be a cool pair of googles.

Not only will John receive his portion of $20,000 prize money, his goggle design will be seen around the world and worn by a British Olympic athlete.

We would also like to congratulate our ten highest-voted artists who will receive their portion of prize money as well as a pair of iD2 goggles from adidas.

Ashkahn Shahparnia is a Los Angeles based multidisciplinary creative who expresses vibrant pop-punches in a multitude of media and expressions, ranging from design, illustration, the hand-drawn and beyond. Ashkahn’s shirt was chosen by Talenthouse and Beautiful Decay Magazine reviewers as the best from the most voted designs on Talenthouse.

Following a fortnight of online auditioning and screening by a panel of judges and the global community, Hayley Cassidy, a singer who hails from Watford in Hertfordshire was selected as the best artist to perform alongside the chart-topping starlet and is now set to showcase her music to thousands of new fans. Alexandra will be performing a melody of chart-topping hits from her new album ‘Overcome’ on Wednesday, 9^th December 2009.

Acts from around the world, including Latvia, Morocco, and Mexico submitted clips and videos of their own original material to prove they had what it takes to sing alongside Simon Cowell’s prodigy. After listening to a sterling performance of her song ‘Heart Strings’, members of Talenthouse voted in their masses to help Hayley Cassidy pip the coveted gig, which will take place in Scotland. The singer’s musical talent outshone more than 3,000 artists.

Talenthouse spokesperson Maya Bogle states, “The collaboration between Alexandra Burke and Hayley Cassidy is an investment by Talenthouse into the future of music by helping to nurture relationships between artists and major brands. Talenthouse is a stepping stone that Hayley has utilised with great effect as she has been presented with an opportunity that is rarely accessible to the majority of talented artists on the music scene today.”
