Jay Select is a multi talented entertainer who started his performing career back in London were he took classes in dancing, acting and singing. Having danced with some of the biggest musicals and stage shows worldwide Jay is also dedicated teacher who has visited some of the best dance and fitness schools in, New York, London, Miami, Atlanta, Paris. Some of his credits include Disneyland Paris, Nike Sports Show, Diesel Jeans, and Selections Carefree Dance Academy.
Jay has also worked for TV shows, stage shows, music video shoots, fashion shows as well as choreography some of the biggest stars in popular music today. His qualities include giving good structured dance and fitness classes to dancers and fitness students alike were ever he is asked to be. Currently, Jay teaches workshops and regular classes at home and abroad.
Arnold Bjornsson is an Icelandic photographer whose images appear regularly in Icelandic Magazines. He has many admirer’s who say he is without a doubt one of the world’s finest photographers and that his work speaks louder and truer than words ever can! We’re happy to have Arnold as a member of our creative community and he is our Featured Artist in Fashion this week! Mamoru Kobayakawa has been photographing since his late teens when he would always carry around his 35mm Nikon FM film camera. During this time he quickly grew fascinated by how people’s expressions seemed infinitely varied; how many different “faces” one can have literally, both when they were aware and unaware of my taking a snapshot of them. He was educated as a musician from an early age and never thought of having a career in photography.
Frizzycube AKA Neil Nakahara is a photographer based out of New York City whose hunger for imagination and creative growth overrules any outstanding pressure. He is known for his mixed media of photography and digital arts and has been published a countless number of times. His career in creativity started with a degree in Cartooning and Illustration and eventually he found that something was missing, and that was photography.

Douglas Thomson is an experienced freelance director with a background in hi-end music videos. He has one feature film under his belt and is currently developing his second while creating music videos and commercials. He travels a great deal between Europe and North America and considers himself extremely lucky to be doing what he loves for a career. When possible, he gives back to fellow artists and is thankful to be in an industry that has been good to him.
Monkey is a 6-piece high-energy organ driven, Ska/Reggae group from the SF Bay Area. Their intense live shows and rock-steady rhythms not only get the crowds dancing, it has won them several awards, like the prestigious California Music Award! They perform over 200 shows per year while constantly recording and touring. They have 3-full length albums (some of which our very own Adam Brioza played on when he was a member) and have been featured on over 25 compilations, video games, and film soundtracks. They have supported acts like Bad Manners, the Specials, The Skatalites, Fishbone, and Hepcat.

Shawn Flanagan was born in Southern Californian and grew up in San Jose where he currently resides. He is the founder of Almaden Films and takes pride in surrounding himself with dedicated people of film. He attended film school and acting classes while doing Extra work on over a dozen fils in the 80s. To date, Shawn has produced, written, shot, and directed over 30 featured films and shorts.

Jahneiah Duran is a photographer who is endlessly inquisitive and enjoys being challenged when making ideas come alive. Jahneiah began taking photos at a young age, moving from Arizona to NYC after high school to study photography at The School of Visual Arts. Some of Jahneiah’s favorite things are music, books, and museums.

Edric Yoeliawan was born with creativity in his blood. He started to really express this at the age of 4 when he started drawing on his bed, his clothes, and wallpapers in his home. He draws, designs, and illustrates like many others but does not limit himself to a “style.” Currently his dreams are to create illustrations and design in almost every commercial arena and to produce great design products while making people happy along the way.

Hannah Tarley is an exciting, young violinist from the San Francisco Bay Area who, at the age of four and a half, performed her first solo recital. A couple of years later she soloed with the South Bay Orchestra and for seven years she was a full scholarship student at the Colburn School of Performing Arts, studying with Robert Lipsett, who holds the Jascha Heifetz Distinguished Violin Chair. At the age of twelve, Hannah was appointed Concertmaster of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra, the youngest in the history of the orchestra. She was concertmaster for four seasons, leading the Orchestra on its 2004 and 2008 European Tours. Hannah’s upcoming engagements include a performance of the Beethoven Violin Concert with San Francisco’s Symphony Parnsassus.
