Designers Against AIDS is bringing sexy back with these four winners!

Ninette Murk, founder of Designers Against AIDS, teamed up with us at Talenthouse in search of fresh and innovative designs to help with their main objective — to raise awareness of the fight against AIDS in the international media and towards young people in the industrialized countries using elements from pop culture.

Ninette and her team reached out to our artist community, asking them to submit their artwork or photos revolving around the idea of bringing back the sexiness of safe sex. The winning pieces are to be used in future DAA campaigns and there were 4 winners chosen!

Nick Lovell is a Los Angeles based photographer who entered this competition with a clear vision: “When I heard that DAA was having a contest with the goal of making safe sex sexy, I jumped at the opportunity. Several years ago, someone surprised me by saying “no one dies of AIDS anymore.”

Rayner Seah is a graduate student in Marketing & Communications and lives in Singapore. To raise HIV/AIDS awareness he created this strong collage of notable artists who had two things in common: AIDS & talent.

Saima Altunkaya is an artist who studied and worked in Hamburg as a photographer assistant before moving to Paris where she found what she was looking for in photography — beauty and portraits.

Ashley Tolusic is an artist and graphic designer who was interested in art from a very young age. She aspires to travel and be inspired while taking the world by storm with her creativity.

Create a music video for Era

We have teamed up with Universal Music and MediaCom London to create a invite to find a talented amateur music video director. The invite offers filmmakers a once in a life time opportunity to create and direct a music video for a new progressive classical act, Era.

The winner will receive $10,000 in video equipment, be part of the global release and have the opportunity to meet with Eric Levi, the judge of the final entries and also the man behind Era.

All you have to do is create a video to the song “Ameno” (you can download it when you login and click participate.) The concept of your video can draw influence from fantasy literature and movies, with epic imagery to match the mood of this new age masterpiece. Characters created within the initial video will also be used elsewhere in the campaign as it unfolds through 2010.

Wet 'n wild chooses Khrystyna Kazakova & Caitlin Harroun to represent them in 2011!

Wet ‘n wild cosmetics has been the forefront of color and trend in the beauty industry for over 30 years and this year marks a significant change to the brand with a sleek makeover for the new decade.  For their 2011 campaigns, wet ‘n wild teamed up with Talenthouse to give aspiring models everywhere the opportunity to be the faces of their campaign efforts.  Thousands of models submitted their best head shots and two were to be the chosen winners —  and they are Khrystyna Kazakova and Caitlin Harroun!!

Originally from Russia, Khrystyna has only been modeling for one year.  She is represented by Look Agency in San Francisco and says it has been one of the best years of her life.

Caitlin has been modeling full-time for the last four years with hopes to one day model for Victoria’s Secret.  She also enjoys photography and has a big appreciation for music.

Khrystyna and Caitlin will be a part of the brand’s global promotional advertising campaign and will be participating in an online makeup video, as well as being featured at the wet n wild Beauty Editor Launch Event in NYC; where there will be over 70 of today’s leading beauty editors.

Blair Taylor – Winner of the Ryan Leslie Creative Invite

In February 2010 record producer, singer-songwriter, musician and entrepreneur Ryan Leslie launched his Creative Invite on Talenthouse, asking aspiring producers and musicians to showcase their talent by recording a video of themselves making an instrumental or full song in the style of Ryan’s Making Of “Addiction” for a chance to work with him and receive his mentorship.

The submissions over exceeded all our expectations, the talent out there is outstanding and we were blown away by what we saw and heard. It made it once again so obvious why we had to create Talenthouse, to provide all these young musicians and producers a stage to be seen, to collaborate and to open new opportunities.

Ryan and his team went through all submissions and had to pick one winner in the end who will work with Ryan in the studio producing a major recording artist and to receive assistant credits on the release.

And the winner is – Blair Taylor from New Orleans and the making of “Cross The Border” (w/ VScript).

As all the submissions are so amazing we are working on a way how to provide further opportunities and mentorship to the runner-ups and are planning an online video conference with Ryan Leslie to ask questions about the industry and get feedback on their work. We will keep you posted about further details and dates.

Teguh Anggara named the winner of the American Fangs Invite

After the Talenthouse community voted, American Fangs named Teguh Anggara as the winner!

Teguh is a talented artist and photographer from Indonesia. Born in North Sumatera and living in West Java, Teguh works as a creative director, freelance designer and photographer.

We are pleased to announce Michael Griffith and Sarah Kraus (film), Matthew David (photography) and Kirsten Halterman (design) as our winners!. They are on BBH’s “ones to watch” list and have the opportunity to internship at the BBH offices in London/New York.

Who Will Be the 2011 Face of wet n wild — You?

Wet n wild, the #1 value cosmetics brand in the country, has joined forces with Talenthouse to find the two new faces of wet n wild. The two women who will be ‘discovered’ will go on to be part of the brand’s 2011 global campaign.

This Creative Invite lets aspiring models get their work in front of beauty editors at major cosmetics brands.  All models who submit photos will then be judged by the Talenthouse community with finalists to be presented to wet n wild for final selection.
