The Heavy is an English indie rock band that came together and released their first LP in the fall of 2007 in the UK. They went on to release it in the United States in the spring of 2008 and received Spin Magazines’ Artist of the Day around the same time. The band played South By Southwest that year and received one of the Best Discovery awards in Spin Magazine’s Best and Worst of SXSW ’08.
The Heavy play a mix of guitar-heavy en-soul and rock with horns and vocals, and their songs incorporate many different styles to create a great assortment in their albums.
