Talent Showcase #2

Our creative community continues to grow every day here at Talenthouse and we enjoy seeing the progression of so many talented artists. We know how important it is to be supported and recognized as an artist and it is our pleasure to be able to showcase some of the great talent on Talenthouse.

Here are some of the incredible artists on Talenthouse involved in art, music, film, photography and fashion:

ART
Sayako Ito (Tokyo) is a fine art artist who draws inspiration from her experiences and through her five senses. In her own words: “Artwork is an accumulation of my heart. By letting my artwork be seen by many viewers, I wish that my heart will be transformed variously inside each viewer.”

Jamie Shaw (United Kingdom) is a painter working out of his home studio focusing on abstract, contemporary and fine art. He also enjoys making films, drawing, sculpting, and taking photographs. Jaime is participating in Dan Cameron’s Creative Invite where the winner will be showcased at the 2010 U.S. Biennial – “Prospect. II. New Orleans.”

Melena Kyriaco (France) is a painter inspired by nature who works with watercolors, pastels, and wood. She has lived and painted in the UK, Spain, Cyprus, and Thailand and is participanting in Dan Cameron’s Creative Invite on Talenthouse for a chance to be showcased at the 2010 U.S. Biennial.

MUSIC
Will Marion (New York) is a classically-trained musician of over 35 years who truly loves writing music. He is an aspiring NYC area composer and licenses songs to radio, film, TV, and the gaming industry. With 4 CD’s currently out, and many more to come, he has a catalog of over 150 compositions to date. Will has created a club dance mix of Boy George’s track, ‘Yes We Can’, in the Creative Invite on Talenthouse.

DJ Nitrogen-E (Chicago) is a keyboardist, vocalist, producer, and engineer who creates club mixes. He has lived in North Carolina, New Mexico and Chicago spinning at nightclubs and working in music production. This past summer, he placed 10th overall in Chicago’s Lollapalooza DJ Contest and has been working with dragqueendiarires.com. Nitrogen-E is also a participant in Boy George’s Creative Invite, having created a club dance mix of ‘Yes We Can’.

Perfect Machines (San Francisco) is a Progressive Punk-Rock band created by a chance meeting between Sam Chase and Benjamin Corey in late 2005. Their fans praise the constant energy and enthusiasm of the live shows. Currently they are working on their new album with plans for global conquest.

FILM
Umut Dag (Vienna) is a director and screenwriter who initially studied business. While directing his first short film, he worked in the Austrian film industry to gain contacts and production experience. He has been studying film at the Film Academy in Vienna since 2006 and is currently working on new projects and developing his first full-length feature as a director.

Michelle Gayle (England) is a British actress and singer. She is best known for her work on British Television, playing Hattie Tavernier in BBC’s East Enders from 1990-93. She’s held various roles in film and theatre, and played Belle in the West End musical, Beauty and the Beast. Most recently she is on Celebrity Come Dine With Me.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Jas Bednarski (United Kingdom) is a photographer who prefers to shoot film and specializes in portraiture and interiors. Some of his influences include David Bailey, Vincent Peters, Bob Richardson, and Sam Haskins.

Chris Parker (Manchester) is a photographer that holds interest in fine art and collaborations with other artists and models. He creates contemporary portraiture, exploring the links between fashion and eroticism, using varied lighting techniques and utilizing digital and film.

Natalie Hon (California) is an aspiring photographer who attends the Freestyle Academy of Communication Arts and Technology where she focuses on film and photography.

FASHION
Daniel Alvarado (Toronto) is a beauty and fashion photographer specializing in media, fashion, and celebrity work. His images have been published internationally and he is accredited for major international music and film festivals, award shows, fashion shows, and press.

Daniel Gieske (Germany) is a commercial and fashion photographer based in Düsseldorf and Hanover, Germany. He works for fashion-labels, magazines and agencies. He also shoots people and portrait photography for private and self-marketing purposes.
